FTBA TRAINING

FTBA has contracted with the state of Florida to provide customized Commercial Driver's License training and testing on (up to) ten newly appointed tracks throughout the state of Florida. Training will include ELDT required theory, training by certified trainers, and testing by certified testers with Federal Reporting outcomes to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Training Provider Registry. Certifications will begin in a pilot phase in 2024 with the first track located in the Florida Panhandle. Training and Testing Is available for both FTBA members and non-members

                Standards for delivery align with FMCSA's required regulations including FTBA's contract details for liability, bonding, track rental, quality assurance and certification of all qualified testers
                
            

                Customized ELDT theory course is virtually delivered and self-paced cutting down significantly on time for completion
                
            

                Trainers utilized for behind-the-wheel training are company mentors who hold the required CDL licensure and are using company trucks
                
            

                Testers for behind-the-wheel skills and maneuvers are certified 3rd party testers who are either contracted or employed by FTBA
